Four dates shaping SAF decisions

These milestones affect which rules apply and when decisions need support.

    Proposed regulations were published; they were not yet finalized as of August 2026.

  2. 2026LCFS

    This is the first full year under the amended regulation.

  3. 2027CORSIA

    The mandatory phase begins.

    The credit runs through this date, with a SAF rate of $1.00 per gallon.

Climate, soils, management, yield, sourcing and processing can all change the physical footprint. Default accounting can represent the country with one national average. LEIF models the physical system at the resolution where both impacts and decisions actually happen.
